How
much does it cost to have a website designed?
The cost to design and develop a website depends on several
factors:
- the
number of pages in a site
- the
amount of graphic images and pictures and the amount of
work involved to get them "web ready"
- cgi,
javascript and Flash programming
- implementation
of shopping carts and secure credit card orders
- high-level
programming
- search
engine optimization
In general,
the cost can range from $75 to $250 CDN per page for pages
without any specialized or high-level programming.

What
are your rates for website design and development?
IMARK charges an hourly rate of $45 CDN for HTML coding and
web graphics design. If you use our currency
converter to convert that to your currency we think you
will agree that this is a fair and reasonable price. We've
seen companies charging $75 and higher an hour US for the
same services. Specialized programming is an additional cost
and varies greatly depending on what's involved.
After
providing you with an estimate we will send you a web design
contract which must be signed and returned before we proceed.
If the final cost to design the site falls below the estimated
cost you will be only charged the actual cost. There's been
many times where the final hours to develop a site has come
out to be less than the estimated hours.

What
types of websites can you do?
IMARK has designed and developed all types of sites - from
storefronts with shopping carts and e-commerce to product/service
information or brochure-type sites. Whatever your needs, IMARK
can make it happen.

Do
I need a domain name? (ie. www.mycompany.com)
It is highly recommended. There are companies that
offer free sub-domains and hosting and in turn place ads on
your site but specialized website programming options are
very limited and in general it presents a highly unprofessional
image . You can register
a domain name here for as low as $29.99 a year!

Do
you provide hosting services in addition to website design?
Yes. IMARK is an authorized Agent for ValueWeb
- one of the Internet's leaders in website hosting services.
We have found their hosting and customer service to be outstanding
and meets all the technical requirements needed by IMARK.

Simply contact us, answer a few
questions, and we'll select the hosting package that best
meets your needs.

What
do I need to do before we begin?
You
need to register a
domain name and set up
website hosting. We will need the host name, username
and password supplied to you from the hosting company so we
can upload your site to the World Wide Web. If you do not
have a host, IMARK is an authorized Agent for ValueWeb. See
the question above.

How
do I view the progress of my website?
We can put your website design template in a directory
on our web server so you can view the site before it goes
online or we can put the site on your host server, whichever
you prefer.

How
many changes can I make to the website while in development?
You can make as many changes as you wish to the design template.
We encourage our clients to give plenty of feedback so that
we can get the design template(s) established as soon as possible.
However,
IMARK charges on an hourly basis (except for our limited
time offer). If you request too many changes to your site
design, or if you change a design template after the entire
site has been formatted with the template, you will incur
more charges.

How
are new changes and additions to our website handled?
Simply
contact us by phone or email and we will handle your request
ASAP. Changes and additions will be billed at our standard
hourly rate.

What
are your payment terms?
Check out our Terms page for answers
to your payment options.

What
other services do you provide to supplement our website design?
We also provide domain name registration,
website hosting, search
engine optimization, guaranteed
website traffic, as well as press
release services. Visit Services
for more information. IMARK can also get you set up with a
merchant account or provide Internet marketing tips from the
leader in the field. Check out our Resources
